2014 Black Dog Shiraz - McLaren Vale

black-dog-sold
Region : McLaren Vale
The 2014 vintage as well as being dry, there was effectively no rainfall for three months from December; it was also notable for being a warm summer and officially announced to be the warmest summer experienced in Australia since records began and this explains the rapid ripening seen locally. The 2014 vintage finished earlier than expected with Shiraz being harvested mid February to early March. McLaren Vale experienced a lighter crop with excellent quality in flavour, ph and colour.
